Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said he was impressed by Swansea’s cup performance yesterday.

The Swans drew 1-1 at home to Fulham but we should have won the tie after an impressive performance against Hodgson’s side.

Manchester United beat Derby away today 4-1 to progress through to the quarter-finals, while Swansea have an excellent incentive to go to Craven Cottage and grab a win.

Ferguson told ITV:

“You obviously take a home tie in a cup tie,”

“I watched Swansea in Saturday`s game against Fulham and they played very well.

“It was a very impressive performance and I don`t think that that tie is finished.

“Either way we are one step away from the semi-finals so it is a big incentive to the players and hopefully our form stays as it is at the moment which has been very good.”

Swansea City are back in League action on Tuesday night as they travel to Watford.

Our replay at Craven Cottage will be played on Tuesday 24th February.
