On loan striker Warren Feeney says he hopes he’s repaid the fans after scoring the winner last night against Swindon.
He came on at the start of the second half to replace Darryl Duffy and took just 19 minutes to get on the scoresheet, his first goal since January 2007.
|‘I know there is rivalry between the two clubs, but the Swans fans gave me a great reception when I left the field against Brighton last Saturday,” |
‘I hope I’ve repaid them with the winner against Swindon and we can kick on from here.
‘It’s always nice to get your first goal; and even better to get the winner.
‘It was a great cross from Tom (Butler) and I just gambled to the back post. I knew straight away when Tom crossed it that there was only one winner to the ball as I was coming on to it.
‘Hopefully now I’ve grabbed my chance and given the manager something to think about for Saturday, but the important thing was that we picked up three points at home.
‘The support was fantastic tonight and the boys were delighted to get the win.”
