Swansea City fans sounded upbeat and encouraged by what Swansea City’s new manager Graham Potter had to say in his first full press conference after his appointment was confirmed on Monday.

The 43-year-old spoke in front of the media earlier today, you can watch the press conference below:

Swansea City fans were left feeling positive about a new era under the new man, as Potter spoke very well indeed, as he talked about former assistant coach Graeme Jones who he knew years ago, and had watched training sessions at Swansea involving his friend Graeme and our former manager Roberto Martinez.

So Potter is quite familiar with the club and the desire to get back to an attacking and attractive style of football. Aware of the “Swansea Way”, but Potter admits it’ll be a bit different now, a Swansea Way v2.0 possibly!?

‘Very positive’, ‘Very impressed’, ‘optimistic’

The fans were also happy to hear Potter talk about the recruitment plans, and how he’s brought his recruitment analyst Kyle Macaulay with him to support the tough job in re-building the squad and replacing key players this Summer. Potter revealed in front of the press that chairman Huw Jenkins wants him to “take the lead” on the recruitment decisions.
