On loan striker Darryl Duffy says he would like join Swansea City on a permanent basis.

The Scottish striker has enjoyed his time at the Liberty Stadium, scoring 5 goals in 5 games and he said: ‘I would like to stay at Swansea. We’ve played some smashing football and I’ve enjoyed my time here.

‘But it’s up to Hull now basically. I’ll be in on Monday to speak to the manager, to say my goodbyes to the boys and wish them all a good summer. But would I like to be back with them in July? Why not?

‘I’ve got to go to Hull and see what they have to say and really it’s out of my hands.

‘If Swansea want to keep me it’s up them to get in contact with Hull and sort something out.

‘They will probably want a fee. They paid a bit of money (£250,000) for me and they’ll probably be looking to get some of that back.

I honestly think it’s vital we sign him permanently for next season. He made an instant impact here and he certainly knows where the goal is.

It may prove to be difficult however as Hull may well have been impressed with his performances here, as well as winning League One’s April Player of the Month award.

The possible large transfer fee they may request may also affect our chances, as Huw Jenkins has never been keen to splash out £250,000 on a player, apart from when Kenny Jackett was desperate maybe!
