After reports recently suggested that the duo were close to signing, Sky Sports now believe that de Guzman and Flores will fly in for talks about potential moves to Swansea City.

After three weeks at the club, new manager Michael Laudrup is now eying new players to boost his squad for the new 2012/2013 season which kicks off on Saturday 18th August at QPR.

The Dane has been busy in recent weeks getting to know how his team play by watching last season’s matches on DVD. He will meet his players on Monday as they return for the start of pre-season training.

This week, local newspapers Evening Post and the Western Mail both reported that the Swans looked to be close to clinching the signings of attacking midfielder Jonathan de Guzman from Villareal and Genoa defender Chico Flores. Sky Sports now say that the club have arranged for the two players to fly over for talks as Laudrup looks to find replacements for former loanees Steven Caulker and Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The Swansea boss has worked with both players during his time at Mallorca and he is considering whether to signed Guzman permanently, or on a season long loan with the option of keeping him next Summer.
