Welsh international Simon Davies the Swans play a similar style of football to Spanish giants Barcelona.

He knew exactly what to expect going into yesterday’s game and he said afterwards:

‘It was a tough game for us but we knew that before, because we knew how much possession Swansea get at the Liberty.’

‘We gave them the respect they deserved all week – watching the videos and seeing the way they play we knew how difficult it would be.’

‘I`ve seen them on TV a few times and I know a lot of people who see them regularly, so I knew how tough it would be.’

‘The way they play it`s almost like Barcelona, utilising the wide players very wide when we play with a narrow four to try and keep it tight.’

‘So that would always make it difficult for us and we were hoping to perhaps nick something on the break.’

‘It`s such a big pitch. It`s so difficult to get on the ball and we have to be happy to take the draw.’

‘Now we can look forward to trying to get the win in the replay.’

The replay will be played on Tuesday 24th February at Craven Cottage, kicking off at 8pm.
