David Cotterill told the Official Site that he changed his mind at the last minute before striking a penalty on Tuesday night against QPR – which his former team-mate Paddy Kenny saved.

It was Cotterill’s second miss from the spot of the season, after he saw a similar kick saved away at Norwich City.

Cotterill said:

‘I was thinking about going the other way and I changed my mind as I was running up to it,’

‘When I was in Sheffield with Paddy Kenny I always used to go that way when we applied penalties, and this time I decided to change at the last minute.’

Swansea City will be looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon when they host Leicester City. The Foxes are unbeaten in 3 games – since new manager Sven Goran Eriksson took over and Cotterill is predicting a tough game:

‘Leicester had a good result the other night winning away from home and they’ve got an experienced manager and they will be trying to impress him.

‘If we can get three points on Saturday then seven out of nine is ok with us.’
