Jack Cork has won his second Vital Swansea man of the match poll following his January move from Southampton.

The defensive midfielder is proving to be an excellent signing by Garry Monk. Not only was he a cheap buy – bought for a fee thought to be considerably less than £3m, more importantly – he has fitted in brilliantly in a defensive role – sitting deep just in front of the back four.

He hasn’t stood out in many games – not until Monday night against Liverpool anyway – but he does a lot of good work to help his team’s cause.

Jack Cork was the clear winner against Liverpool, with 44% of the votes, double the amount that former Red Jonjo Shelvey got in second place.

Club captain Ashley Williams followed in third place with 11%.

Ki Sung Yueng remains top of the leaderboard with 6 Poll wins, slightly ahead of goalkeeper Lucasz Fabianski.

Man of the Match Poll Winners:

Ki – 6
Fabianski – 5
Bony – 3
Cork – 2
Britton – 2
Gomis – 2
Williams – 1
Fernandez – 1
Bartley – 1
Montero – 1
Sigurdsson – 1
Dyer – 1

Our new poll wants to know what you think the result will be on Saturday when Swansea City face a rejuvinated Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Will Tim Sherwood’s impressive start continue or will Monk’s Swansea avoid a third consecutive defeat with a victory?
