Steve Coppell has ruled himself out of taking over as Swansea City’s new manager.
After resigning as Reading boss at the end of the season, the 53 year-old says he needs a break from football and will wait until the end of the year before deciding whether or not to return to the game.

Steve Coppell has been a popular name amongst the fans as we discuss who we’d like to take over following Roberto Martinez’s move to Wigan Athletic.
Falkirk boss John Hughes is favourite with the bookmakers after declaring his interest, and said he was ‘flattered’ to be linked with the job.
Swansea City look set to receive another blow with Martinez’s exit as he is keen in taking his managerial staff with him. Assistant Graeme Jones and chief scout Kevin Reeves are expected to join the Spaniard at the JJB Stadium.
