Swansea City boss Steve Cooper has made a host of first-team changes for tonight’s visit of Northampton Town in the Carabao Cup.

Kristoffer Nordfeldt returns in goal behind  a new-look defence. Kyle Naughton captains the side at right-back. Cabango and Wilmot partner each other in defence with Declan John at left-back.

In midfield, Dhanda and Byers are given the nod while Wayne Routledge returns from injury. McKay also gets a place along with new Summer signing Kristoffer Peterson and loan capture Sam Surridge leads the line up top.

The other big news is that Andre Ayew is named amongst the substitutes which also include Mulder, Cooper, Rushesha, de Boer, Garrick and Cullen.

It’s clear that Cooper is keen to keep his first-team senior players free and available for the League while giving the youngsters and some of the fringe players some game time.
