Swansea City boss Paul Clement says he’s confident that his side will be ‘well prepared’ for Sunday’s crucial home game against Middlesbrough.

Our league form has dropped lately after a superb start when Clement first took over, with back to back defeats against Hull City and Bournemouth bringing us back down to earth in recent weeks.

The performances in those two games weren’t at the levels we saw earlier on and Clement will be desperate to get back to that on Sunday, as we face a managerless Middlesbrough after they sacked Aitor Karanka.

During Thursday’s press conference, Clement spoke about some of the decisions he’s made since he took over at the Liberty Stadium, and how he’s made some mistakes along the way:

‘I have made some good ones while I have been here, but I can tell you I have made mistakes too and it is about limiting those and making sure you make more good ones than bad.

‘You have to have a thick skin. You can`t get too carried away if things go well, or too down if there is criticism.

‘It is a big moment for me, a new one, and one I am up for.

‘I have been thinking a lot about the best thing to do for this game and I am confident we will be as well prepared as we can and it is about delivering.’

‘Pressure is good’

‘Every game is important. We have had that from the day I walked in and we played Crystal Palace. Then we had it against Leicester, Burnley, Hull and Bournemouth.

‘This is big, and we are going out to win it.

‘Now is not the time to lose momentum and, having failed to get results in the last two games we need to get some points and use the momentum we have had at home.

‘So of course there is pressure, we all feel it, but that should not be seen is a negative.

‘Pressure is good, it keeps you alert and focused on the task in hand.

‘Everyone is together again after the international break. We have spoken about what we need to do and we are preparing well to deliver them.’
