Swansea City have reported via the Official Site that midfielder Leon Britton is expected to return in about a month’s time.

It stated that in a ‘successful scan’, he ‘could be back in a month’s time’ as he has yet to feature this season as he struggles with a knee problem.

Britton has proved to be a vital part of Swansea’s midfield thanks to his simple, but very effective and useful style of playing that is quite different to that of Jonjo Shelvey who is far more error prone.

Ki Sung Yueng has returned from his loan spell at Sunderland last year to start alongside Shelvey in the holding midfield position, and the South Korean looks settled so far after three games and three wins in the Premier League.

Leon Britton may soon be the only notable player out injured as Marvin Emnes is very close to a return.
