Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton says all the players hope manager Michael Laudrup stays at the club following ongoing speculation about his future.

Despite the Dane telling the media multiple times that he is staying in South Wales – to the point that he says he’s getting tired of doing so, reports still suggest that Laudrup could still consider leaving over issues concerning this Summer’s transfer plans and his agent for getting too involved in transfer dealings.

While Soccerway headline that Britton says that the ‘Laudrup issues’ are ‘disrupting the squad’, he actually is not quoted as telling TalkSport anything of the sort really.

Britton told TalkSport:

‘We all hope Laudrup stays at Swansea,’

‘It’s a bit of summer of disruption.

‘The players didn’t see this coming. There appears to be a problem with the agent and other bits and pieces.

‘Hopefully the club will sort it out, the manager will come back and we’ll carry on in July. It seems like that’s the way it is in Swansea though, we seem to lose a lot of managers.

‘Hopefully he comes back because that’s what the players want.’

The reports that Laudrup could leave seem to be fading away now but the media still seem to be holding onto it, particularly when reporting about potential signings – and that they could be at risk due to the manager’s future speculation.
