Bolton Wanderers are expected to make an improved bid for Swansea City midfielder Ferrie Bodde.
Gary Megson is not giving up his attempts at signing the Dutchman and will improve on their initial £2.5m offer.
|“Why waste their time, it’s £5m or nothing.”|
The Evening Post believe the bid will only rise up to £3m with more money to be paid up front, but it’s still going to be close to our £5m valuation.
Yet again, more controversy has arisen involving the 27 year-old as last year he stayed in Holland and missed the start of the pre-season training camp in Sweden.
He was on the verge then of a move to Derby County but he decided to stay with the Swans and signed a new 3-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2011.
New boss Paulo Sousa asked Bodde to attend training on Monday but he didn’t appear. Sousa criticised him for being disrespectful but Bodde defended himself, saying it was a misunderstanding with the Swans and that he was expected back on Wednesday instead.
Ferrie has now returned to his native Holland where he will continue his rehabilitation on his knee ligament injury and will report back on July 12th.
