Ferrie Bodde’s agent Frank Schouten says the midfielder will not hand in a transfer request to the club.

The Dutch midfielder has shown a desire to leave the Liberty Stadium to join a Premiership club with Bolton Wanderers making a £3.5m bid for the player.

Last year, Bodde handed in a transfer request in order to join Derby County but he later changed his mind and decided it was best if he stayed with the Swans.

He might have done the same this year, with Bolton making a bid for him and the fact that it’s unlikely that a club will match our £5m valuation for someone who’s been injured since November.

However, Schouten has told the News of the World:

‘He won’t hand in a transfer request as he has too much respect for the club.

They looked after him while he’s been out all this time injured.’

The Sunday newspaper are also linking us with a move for Fiorentina striker Samuel Di Carmine, who played under Sousa at QPR last season.

News of the World believe that Paulo Sousa has approached Serie A club about signing the 20 year-old on a season-long loan.
