Swansea City boss Paulo Sousa could receive a boost with the news that Ferrie Bodde could make an early return from a knee ligament injury.

With Darren Pratley set to miss the first 5 weeks of the campaign with a recurrence of his shoulder injury, Bodde’s early return would help fill the hole he’d leave behind in centre midfield.

The Dutch midfielder has been out of action since November last year after picking up a knee injury.

The Evening Post are reporting that the 27 year-old could be back within four weeks, possibly even for our first home League match of the season, against Middlesbrough.

Sousa will be hoping Bodde will be returning and playing in a Swans shirt rather than in a Bolton or Wigan one. Like last year, Ferrie has been strongly linked with a move. Bolton boss Gary Megson is confident they are going to sign him even though they are not going to improve their £3.5m bid, which is considerably short of our £5m valuation and asking price.
