Ferrie Bodde could be a Derby County player within the week as the ongoing transfer saga looks to be coming to an end.
In effect the former Ado Den Hagg players has declared his position with Swansea as untenable. The Dutchman looks set to move to Pride Park and could link up with the Rams whilst they are in Holland in their first phase of preparations for next season.
Bodde Told Sky Sports:
|“I have some personal things to sort out and my head is not right to be with the team. The talk of a transfer to Derby has been dragging on for too long now.I had a personal meeting with the manager (Martinez). He is a good man and has helped me since I have played in the UK and he understands the reasons I want to leave and he told me that there can be a deal with Derby.”|
Everyone at Swansea has been great with me and they are a great club. I will always love them and I will never forget what they have done for me, but Derby is a big club with big players and big finances and a history of playing in the Premier League. Everybody knows that’s what I want. Now I just hope a deal can be done this week.”
