Ferrie Bodde says he has made a promise to the manager and players not to make the same mistake twice after getting sent off against Doncaster.
The Dutchman has completed his 3-match ban and returns on Saturday to face Leeds at Elland Road on Saturday.
|‘It was extremely frustrating to miss the last three games,” |
‘I’ve only ever been sent off twice in my career, and that was my first straight red.
‘I’ve never done anything as stupid as that before and I’ve made a promise to my team-mates and the gaffer not to do it again.
‘I’ve never felt so bad in my career because I let everyone down. Yes, I was being wound up by the opposing player, but my reaction was not good.
‘But I’ve got to forget it now and just learn from the experience.”
Bodde has proved to have been one of Martinez’s best Summer signings along with Jason Scotland and Angel Rangel and it’ll be a big boost to see him start against a side who have won all 6 of their games on Saturday.
