Despite struggling to make the first team this season, Swansea City striker Guillem Bauza says he is happy and feels a part of the squad.

The Spaniard was scoring goals for fun in pre-season, but after starting against Charlton on the opening day of the season, Bauza has only made a further 3 appearances from the bench.

Rather than being frustrated with his lack of first team action, Bauza is patiently waiting for his chance and he knows he’ll have to perform when he gets it, he told Wales Online:

“I still feel great and a real part of the squad,”

“We are doing well in the league and Swansea is a good place to be right now.

“I am just waiting for my chance in the starting XI. But, when it comes, I want to show I can do it right.

“Last season showed that my time will come. I know that if I am patient and work hard in training, I will get a chance.

“Then I just need to make the most of it. It`s a similar situation to last year and that worked out well.

“Of course it will take one or two games to get properly sharp because training is never the same as match practice. But I am still confident and that`s the most important thing for a striker.”

“It`s not a case of being frustrated,”

“We have a really good squad here and sometimes you just have to wait. It`s a very long season and the gaffer will need every one of us.

“It`s important you are ready when the team needs you and I am going to make sure I am.

“Roberto has told me I will get to play when the time is right. He showed me that last season so I`m not worried. As a footballer you just have to know that there will be good and bad times.”
