Joe Allen is expected to make a return next Saturday after missing the game at Barnsley last weekend.
The young Welsh midfielder picked up a hamstring injury during the opening game of the season at Leicester and made a return last Tuesday when we drew 0-0 at Bristol City.
He didn’t travel to Oakwell on the weekend though as he was sore after his performance last week, and he stayed at home as a precaution.
A club spokesman said:
‘The Bristol City game took a lot out of Joe and he was a little bit sore,’
‘As a precaution it was felt that rather than travelling all the way to Barnsley, Joe would be better off staying behind to rest and to undergo some more treatment.’
