We asked our twitter followers about Carlos Carvalhal’s future at Swansea City, here’s how you voted.
We also wrote our thoughts on a possible new contract for Carvalhal in an article here
With a three-year deal recently being speculated in the media, we wanted to know what other Swans fans thought about offering another manager a long term deal.
We’ve had to pay out for the likes of Guidolin, Clement and Bradley in recent years, and we have to avoid a repeat of that and put a stop to that trend.
Therefore it wasn’t surprising to see the results below, with a 60% majority in favour of offering Carvalhal a 12-month contract. He signed a 6-month deal until the end of the season at the end of 2017 – something he was happy to do, but the question is – would he be happy to sign another short-term deal? It doesn’t look like a short-term deal would be offered by the Swans, as the BBC have reported that ‘informal talks’ have started.
Wrote some thoughts on Carvalhal and a possible new long-term contract, I’m not 100% convinced yet, but player recruitment is so critical for next season.
Should Carvalhal be given a new deal?https://t.co/a7q5gweeNx
