The vast majority of Vital Swansea readers are happy with the recent arrival of midfielder Jordi Lopez.

In a recent poll, 90% voted that he’s a good signing. The Spaniard has a good relationship with manager Paulo Sousa and they worked together for a few months last season at QPR.

Lopez turned down a new contract offer at Loftus Road before teaming up with Sousa again at the Liberty Stadium.

Jordi joined up with the team for the Pre-Season Tour in Spain, and set up Mark Gower’s first goal for the club. He gelled quickly with the team, looks comfortable in possession and signs look good that he’s definitely capable of playing key first team role for us next season in the Championship.

In our new poll, we’d like to know if you think we need a new striker. The Swans have been targeting a new frontman and Sousa has put together a list of targets. It seems we’ve failed in our attempts to sign Ipswich’s Pablo Counago, and chairman Huw Jenkins now says that we’re happy with what we’ve got. However, it’s still believed that Sousa wants to add a new striker to his squad ahead of the season’s opening game on Saturday August 8th at Leicester City.
