Swansea City have sold just over 8,000 of their 39,376 ticket allocation on the opening day for the Championship Play-off Final at Wembley on 30th May.

Tickets went on sale on Wednesday to new and existing season ticket holders and there were queues of up to 5 hours as some people were turned away in the afternoon as the ticket office couldn’t cope with the demand.

The club has advised fans that there are plenty of tickets available, there is no initial rush and that they can alternatively use the telephone or the internet to purchase tickets.

4,853 were sold via the ticket office with the remaining 3,241 sold via the telephone (0844 2491912) or online – via www.ticketzone.co.uk
