Arsenal are struggling with injuries to 8 senior players ahead of Saturday’s match at the Liberty Stadium.

While Garry Monk is happy to have pretty much his entire squad available – apart from Wayne Routledge, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will be forced to re-shuffle his starting eleven.

Adding insult to injury – literally, Arsenal’s humiliating 3-0 defeat on Tuesday night to Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup 4th round adds to their frustrations of their ever-growing injury list.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott both picked up injuries during the defeat, and they join Danny Welbeck, Tomas Rosicky, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey and David Ospina on the sidelines.

Olivier Giroud is the only senior striker available now for Arsenal this weekend, and they’ll also have to make some changes in midfield following the latest injuries. They still have the likes of Ozil, Sanchez and Cazorla so they aren’t without world class quality.

Swansea City, meanwhile, could name an unchanged line-up from the one that beat Aston Villa last Saturday and led to Tim Sherwood’s inevitable sacking.

Can the likes of Sigurdsson and Montero inspire another famous win over Arsenal on Saturday? Can Bafetimbi Gomis avoid getting offside to score against the Gunners again at home?
