In a recent poll, 68% voted that it was the right decision to sell Fallon providing we signed a replacement.

There was much debate at the time as to whether we should have sold him not. Selling him could have meant we’d be left with just 2 senior strikers but Jackett secured the signing of Pawel Abbott shortly after Rory’s departure.

The £300,000 fee we paid Swindon for Fallon a year ago seemed far too high and many fans wanted to see the club get a ‘refund’.

Plymouth boss Ian Holloway came in with a rather surprising bid matching what we paid for him. This was turned down much to the annoyance of many Swans fans.

However, Fallon showed his desire to move up a league and the club allowed the player to join the Pilgrims.

I definitely think it was the best deal for all concerned. The club gets their money back on a player that was never worth the transfer fee paid and the player goes up a league.

Our new poll asks where you think we’ll finish this season. Another failure in the play-offs? Automatic promotion? Vote now on the right hand side.
